Caucasian wildcat

The Caucasian wildcat is a subspecies of the European wildcat native to the Caucasus region as well as Turkey. The Caucasian wildcat is one of the few subspecies of the European wildcat along with the Turkestan, Corsican, Cretan, and Scottish wildcats. The Caucasus region is absent to a variety of big cats such as the extinct Caspian tiger, the Asiatic lion and cheetah, leopards, and lynxes.
