The Utah prairie dog is another endangered prairie dog species native to the steppes of Southern Utah. The Utah prairie dog and Mexican prairie dog are the only endangered prairie dogs on earth and the 3 other ones are least concern. They are typically larger than Gunnison's prairie dogs.
