Kamchatka brown bear
The Kamchatka brown bear or Far-Eastern brown bear (Ursus Arctos Beringianus) is a subspecies of brown bear native to the Kamchatka peninsula and surrounding islands. Its North American relatives are the ones of Alaska such as the Kodiak bear and Alaska brown bear. The Ussuri brown bear also lives in the Kuril islands. The Kuril islands is an archipelago between Hokkaido island and Kamchatka. The Kamchatka peninsula is in the Northeast of Russia but the Chukotka peninsula is the Easternmost peninsula in Asia. The brown bear is the national animal of Russia. The East Siberian brown bear also lives in Northeastern Russia.
