Raccoon dog

The Raccoon dog (Nyctereutes Procyonoides), also known as the tanuki or mangut, is a raccoon-like canine native to East Asia and introduced to several European countries. The raccoon dog, along with the gray fox, are the only canines able to climb trees. From Russia to the Ukraine, raccoon dogs were 1st introduced to Europe in 1934 as an effort to enrich the fauna. True raccoons were also introduced to Europe in 1934 and have also been introduced to the Caucasus and Japan. The 3 countries suitable for the raccoon dogs to breed are Germany, Sweden, and France. The raccoon dog is the only canine to hibernate and play dead. They are not related to raccoons, true raccoons are actually closely related to bears, not canines. If it weren't for human intervention, the 2 would never have met. True raccoons are native to North and Central America. The raccoon dog's subspecies are the Korean, Chinese, Ussuri, Japanese, and Common. There is a tragic story of a raccoon dog named Bandit who lost his family due to a hunting dog attack and is forced to survive on his own (look at the raccoon dog video updated on August 2016).
