East African wild dog

The East African wild dog (Lycaon Pictus Lupinus) is another subspecies of African wild dog native to Eastern Africa and is distinguished from the Cape wild dog by its smaller size and much blacker coat. It lives in Uganda, Kenya, South Sudan, Rwanda, Burundi, Tanzania, and Mikumi. This picture of an East African wild dog was taken in Selous game reserve in Tanzania. African wild dogs and Eastern wolves both have the word Lycaon in their scientific names.
