The Cape wild dog (Lycaon Pictus Pictus), also known as the South African wild dog, is a subspecies of African wild dog native to South Africa and is much more colorful than the East African wild dog. Cape wild dogs are characterised by the large amount of orange-yellow fur overlapping the black. This picture was taken in Okavango Delta, Botswana. It is the nominate subspecies of the African wild dog.
