The Somali wild dog (Lycaon Pictus Somalicus) is another subspecies of African wild dog native to the Horn of Africa and is similar to the East African wild dog but smaller with the yellow parts being buff rather than brighter orange as is the case of the East African subspecies. The wild dog may still occur in Northern Somalia and Ethiopia but it's extinct in Eritrea. This picture was taken in the natural history museum in Italy.
