The Quagga (Equus Quagga Quagga) is an extinct subspecies of plain zebra native to South Africa Namibia until 1833 and was the southernmost subspecies of the plain zebra. This is a picture of a live female quagga at the London zoo in 1870. There is another extinct zebra called the Burchell's zebra. The quagga was like all zebras but it had brown stripes and its rear had no stripes.
