The Cape serval is an extinct cat native to South Africa and probably went extinct in 1816. The Cape serval was found in Savannahs throughout Africa. They couldn't be found in arid deserts, tropical jungles, or near the western tip of South Africa, and were almost found near water. Servals are a lot like caracals, and caracals are lynx-like creatures native to Africa and some part of Asia and the M.E. and there is another extinct species called the Schmitz's caracal or Arabian caracal.
