Yakushima macaque

The Yakushima macaque (Macaca Fuscata Yakui), also known as the Yaku macaque, is a subspecies of the Japanese macaque native to Yakushima island in Japan. Yakushima is located in the East China sea south of Kyushu. The other subspecies is the Snow macaque. Like the Iriomote cat, which is unique from other leopard cats, the Yakushima macaque was also unique from its mainland relatives.
