Scottish polecat

The Scottish polecat (Mustela Putorius Caledoniae) is a possibly extinct subspecies of the European polecat native to Scotland and was declared extinct in the 1940's. It is the only subspecies declared extinct and the polecats still live in some parts of Western Scotland. It is one of the 7 subspecies along with the Common, Welsh, Mediterranean, Domestic ferret, Middle-Russian, and Carpathian.
