Eastern hare wallaby

The Eastern hare wallaby is an extinct wallaby native to Southeastern Australia and is one of the 3 extinct animals of 1889 along with the Hokkaido wolf and Bonin wood pigeon and they both were from Japan. The wallaby was 1st described in 1841 by John Gould. There are 2 other recently extinct wallabies including the Toolache wallaby (1927) and crescent nail tailed wallaby (1956). Wallabies are smaller than kangaroos and are also similar. There is a hybrid of a kangaroo and wallaby called the wallaroo.
