Yellow throated marten
The yellow throated marten or kharza (Matres Flavigula)is a Asian species of mustelid native to India, China, Taiwan, and Indonesia. As of 2005, 9 subspecies are recognized including the Indian, Amur, Formosan, Hainan, Sumatran, Indochinese, Malaysian, Javan, and Bornean. The Formosan is rare and probably endangered. It is listed as least concern as of the 1990's. The Formosan yellow throated marten is one of the 3 best known top predators of Taiwan along with the extinct Formosan clouded leopard and the endangered Formosan black bear.
