The Jamaican monkey is an extinct monkey native to Jamaica and there is also the Jamaican rice rat which is also extinct. This monkey was declared extinct in the 1600's. There is also the Jamaican petrel. Monkeys have existed on Jamaica for hundreds of years. They had a very long black tail and a light buff color.
