Bramble Cay memolys

The Bramble Cay memolys (Melomys Rubicola) is an extinct species of rodent which was similar to the Cape York melomys, but had a coarser tail. It hasn't been seen since 2007. However, in 2016, it was confirmed extinct. It lived on the island of Bramble Cay off the coast of Papua New Guinea and was Australia's most isolated mammal.
