Cozumel fox
The Cozumel fox (Urocyon SP.) is an undescribed species native to Cozumel island in Mexico. It is a critically endangered but possibly extinct fox. The SP. stands for Species Plural, because it is undescribed. The last reported sighting dates back to 2001. Other Urocyon gray foxes include the North American, Island, and Progressive. There are no skins or complete skeletons in museum collections. Maybe someday, when I grow up, I'll go to Cozumel and search for the rare or extinct Cozumel fox, I will describe this species. If it's critically endangered, I'll find it, and if it's extinct, I'll find its fossils.
