The Sinaloan jaguarundi (Puma Yagouraroundi Tolteca) is another endangered subspecies of jaguarundi native to Southern Arizona, New Mexico, and Sonora. Like the Gulf Coast jaguarundi, the Sinaloan lives in 1 Southern US state and Northern Mexico but the Gulf Coast is in the Eastern part and the Sinaloan is Western. These 2 subspecies are considered to be endangered since 1976. The farthest North part where jaguarundis live are Alabama and California.
