Alexander archipelago wolf

The Alexander archipelago wolf (Canis Lupus Ligoni) is a subspecies of gray wolf native to the Alexander archipelago in the Pacific ocean off the coast of Southeastern Alaska. It is black like some other wolves. There are more than 50 gray wolf subspecies. As of 2005, it was classified as a relative of the great plains wolf (Canis Lupus Nubilis). In 1993, it was classified as an endangered species from the USA.
