Mexican wolf
The Mexican wolf (Canis Lupus Baileyi), also known as the Mexican gray wolf or lobo, is a gray wolf subspecies native to the Sierra Madre and the surrounding areas of Western Mexico, though its range once included the Southwestern USA. It is classified as endangered. In Spanish, it's called Lobo Mexicano and is Nahuatl, it's called Cuetachcoyoti. There is a wolf conservation center in the Carolinas and California. 350 remain in the wild and there were 4 Mexican wolf deaths reported in 2014. It is the most beautiful wolf I've ever seen! More beautiful than the Ethiopian and Iberian wolf. The Iberian wolf is another subspecies of gray wolf native to a Spanish place (including Spain) and the Mexican lives in Mexico. The Iberian is near threatened and the Ethiopian is also endangered and beautiful. This is a picture of a captive Mexican wolf. In the 50's it was though to be extinct in the wild.
