Ussuri dhole
The Ussuri dhole (Cuon Alpinus Alpinus), also known as the Indian wild dog or Eastern dhole, Southern dhole, or Chinese dhole, is a subspecies of dhole native to the Indian subcontinent, the Indochinese peninsula, China, Mongolia, Java, and Far Eastern Russia. The Ussuri dhole is the largest subspecies. It's possibly extinct in some ranges in China. This picture on the right of a Ussuri dhole was taken in a Swedish zoo. It is the nominate subspecies. These dholes are known to compete with Siberian tigers, Amur leopards, Bengal tigers, Indian leopards, bears, Asiatic lions, Asiatic cheetahs, Javan tigers, Caspian tigers, Javan leopards, and snow leopards.
