California condor

The California condor is a critically endangered species of new world vulture native to Central and Southern California, Northern Baja California in Mexico, Utah, and Northern Arizona. It's a lot different than the Andean condor of the Andes mountains of South America. The California condor has a bald head and black patches of white under the wings. In 1987, it was declared extinct in the wild but they have been reintroduced to the places where they inhabit.
