Kodiak bear

The Kodiak bear (Ursus Arctos Middenorfii), also known as the Kodiak brown bear or Alaskan grizzly bear, is a large subspecies of brown bear native to Southwestern Alaska. The Kodiak bear, along with the polar bear, are the largest extant bears in the world. This bear is similar to other grizzly bears such as the mainland grizzly and the extinct California grizzly. This is a large male at a zoo in Germany.
