The Borneo bay cat (Catopuma Badia) is an endangered small wild cat native to the Indonesian island of Borneo. As of 2007, it is estimated to be around 2,500 individuals left in the wild. It was 1st described in 1874 by zoologist Edward Gray. Its closest relative is the Asian golden cat (Catopuma Temminckii), which is native to China, Nepal, India, Indochina, Malaysia, and Sumatra.
