San Joaquin kit fox

The San Joaquin kit fox (Vulpes Macrotis Mutica), also known as the large eared kit fox or curtailed fox, is an endangered subspecies of kit fox native to San Joaquin valley throughout Central California. 7,000 individuals remain and it has been on the endangered species list nearly 50 years. The Southern California kit fox was declared extinct in 1903.
