The Amazonian manatee is an endangered species of manatee found in the Amazom river in Northern South America. It lives in the Amazon basin in Brazil, Peru, Bolivia, Colombia, and Ecuador and is one of the 3 species of manatees in the order Sirenia along with the African and West Indian.
