Javan leopard cat

The Javan leopard cat is a vulnerable subspecies of leopard cat native to the Indonesian islands of Java and Bali. It probably preys on Javan ferret badgers, birds, rodents and other animals. This picture was photographed in 1896. It was probably prey for the recently extinct tigers there on the islands. It is one of the 13 subspecies of leopard cat along with the Bengal, Sumatran, Chinese, Southern, Amur, Bornean, Western, Iriomote, Hainan, Visayan, and Tsushima.

European ice age leopard

The European ice age leopard (Panthera Pardus Spelaea) is a prehistoric leopard species that lived in the Pleistocene of Europe. Jaguars and leopard both coexisted in Europe in prehistoric times and this is a picture of a Eruopean jaguar (Panthera Gombaszoegensis). The European jaguar is the 1st big cat ever to exist and that 1st existed around 1.5 million years. I couldn't find any picture of an ice age leopard that's good enough for my blog.

Borneo bay cat

The Borneo bay cat (Catopuma Badia) is an endangered small wild cat native to the Indonesian island of Borneo. As of 2007, it is estimated to be around 2,500 individuals left in the wild. It was 1st described in 1874 by zoologist Edward Gray. Its closest relative is the Asian golden cat (Catopuma Temminckii), which is native to China, Nepal, India, Indochina, Malaysia, and Sumatra.
